CABN is redefining the future of sustainable living through design, technology, and carbon-negative construction. Rooted in prefabricated, mass-timber innovation, CABN’s mission is to make high-performance homes accessible, scalable, and environmentally responsible.
SALT + COMPANY was initially engaged by CABN to support strategic operations and government-funded project development. Our team helped secure and structure major grant programs focused on advanced manufacturing, builder training, and workforce innovation — aligning business objectives with measurable outcomes.
Following this engagement, Alexandra Kelly was invited to join CABN full-time as Chief Operating Officer and Board Director, tasked with building the company from start-up to growth stage. Over her tenure, she led operations, communications, and program execution across manufacturing, digital infrastructure, and strategic partnerships.
Under her leadership, CABN expanded its workforce, developed relationships at all levels of government, built internal policies and governance structures, closed a major venture capital-led round, and positioned itself as a leader in sustainable construction and innovation in Canada.
SALT’s role — from early consulting through executive execution — exemplifies the firm’s ability to not only design strategic frameworks, but to embed within organizations to deliver real-world, measurable transformation.
